2024 CLASS CHAMPIONS 🏆
And that’s a wrap for our 2024 BEC campaign! MacG Racing finish Class Champions and 3rd overall in the British Endurance Championship.
Saturday was an incredible day. We needed class pole, fastest lap and win to catch 2nd overall in the Championship. Pole and fastest lap were in the bag after some immense driving from Arthur Simondet and Jonny Macgregor, and with 20 minutes left of the 120 minute race we were over a lap ahead of the next car in class and an incredible 2nd overall, 50 seconds ahead of 3rd place, when the oil pump failed, shutting off the engine.
We are disappointed not to pick up a 2nd overall in the race, but the points haul was enough to confirm us as Class Champions and 3rd overall in the British Championship.
A huge shout out to the MacG Racing team for an incredible season, and a special mention to Arthur Simondet who picked up the Newcomer Driver of the year award, which is a brilliant achievement against some really excellent drivers and a testament to his performance this year.
And the advancements won’t stop there, the Development and Distribution centre is busy with customer vehicle upgrades and rebuilds. There will be news of further testing of vehicles and products to the end of the year, and announcements on race programs for 2025.
